Located in the detail part fab department, Fleet’s Non-Destructive Testing and detail part inspection area contains all the equipment necessary to verify all aspects of the manufacturing process to the industries tightest tolerances.
Our NDT (Liquid Penetrant Inspection) area is Nadcap approved. This method is used to inspect machined parts, as well as parts that require extreme forming.
Our Validator coordinate measurement machine is used to verify close tolerance machine shop product and tooling.
Rockwell hardness and conductivity equipment is used to fully verify the temper of purchased material and the results of our internal heat treat processes.
In addition to NDT inspection methods, detail part configuration is validated by mylar overlay and manual dimensional checks in our detail fab inspection area.
Our Virtek laser scanner verifies sheet metal flat pattern shapes and can be used to generate CAD data from existing flat pattern shapes.
